Consultation
Cancer often brings with it many physical changes and adaptations. Particularly after an operation or subsequent treatment with chemotherapy or radiotherapy, it is difficult for many patients, on the one hand, to motivate themselves to undertake physical activity again. On the other hand, there may also be a certain amount of fear or uncertainty about how much strain can be placed on the body which has undergone cancer therapy. These questions can, and should, always be discussed with your oncologist. And it is even better to arrange a special consultation on the topic of "exercise and cancer". Within the scope of an in-depth patient discussion and with the aid of data from sports medicine and sports science diagnostics e.g. an endurance test on the bicycle ergometer, an individualised exercise plan is developed for every patient.
This type of consultation is available at the Zentrum für Prävention, Ernährung und Sportmedizin (Centre for Prevention, Nutrition and Sports Medicine) at Klinikum rechts der Isar in Munich. During a personal consultation session, you will learn about the topic of sports and cancer, gain background knowledge and receive initial recommendations for your individual training.
