Nutrition and cancer at the Patient Day

In collaboration with the Bayerische Krebsgesellschaft e.V., the Munich Tumour Centre organises a free Patient Day each year. A core question is what patients and relatives can do themselves in order to overcome cancer or keep it effectively under control. One crucial component of this is health-promoting and enjoyable nutrition - and this is also a theme at the Patient Day: Cookery course with a star chef, presentations on nutrition by experts and, above all, lively interaction between visitors and persons at the information stands.

What can you expect there? Take a look at Öffnet internen Link im aktuellen Fensterreports by participants on their experiences, presentations and photos from previous patient days.

Cookery course for cancer patients 2015

Healthy and substantial nutrition is especially important for cancer patients. Food should also taste good and be enjoyable to prepare. The Munich Tumour Centre and Bayerische Krebsgesellschaft e.V. hold a draw each year for people participating in the Patient Day to win a cookery course with star chef Hans Haas. In 2015, Klaus Schneider, radio journalist from Bayerischer Rundfunk (Bavarian radio), also got involved. He recorded this experience and many helpful tips for the kitchen from the top chef for you.

Take a listen! Here you will find the Öffnet externen Link in neuem Fensterradio feature from 13.07.15, full length. (only available in German)
